Old hard drive had a windows corruption I couldn’t fix. Got a new hard drive
and freshly installed Windows. Using WMP v 11.
Old hard drive had music files in 2 places, one for downloads, one for rips.
Most downloads were from now-defunct musicmatch.
Copied music, playlists, etc as best I could from old to new. All ripped
music will play, but downloads won’t.
From what I read, I’m sunk. But it makes no sense (not to mention unfair).
I just keep hoping there is a file I can copy from the old HD to the new one
that will let the new WMP see the licenses (or believe it has played the
files already, or something!)
