Developer IO Interactive announced today the release date for the highly anticipated sequel Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. North American PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 users will be able to pick up the game on August 24. International players on the other hand, will have to wait until August 27th.
Gamespy reports that the game will include multiplayer modes including “Cops & Robbers”, “Undercover Cop”, and “Arcade”. The developers also noted that, while the game is rooted in the style of the first game in many aspects, they have also taken many new approaches when it comes the art style and what they describe as “unique visuals and relentless gameplay”
Niels Jorgensen, General Manager of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Day’s developer IO Interactive, said in a statement,
“”We believe the unique visuals and relentless gameplay has created an intensity never delivered in a videogame before,” Jorgensen said. “In a genre where so many games look and feel the same, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will make people double-take. We think it’s going to make quite an impression.”
