Microsoft has launched a PR offensive after the relevations earlier this week that cut and paste would not make it into Windows Phone 7 Series.
According to istartedsomething, Redmond is now claiming that cut and paste will be a feature, just not at launch time.

Apparently the development team “knows exactly how they will be implementing copy & paste in WP7S but did not believe it could be implemented without affecting the release schedule”.
So there. It’s pretty hard to imagine a new Windows mobile OS without such basic functionality, but as some have already pointed out, it took Apple two years to make the same leap for the iPhone…
