The HTC Wildfire has landed on Vodafone and is yours to own as of now. There’s no more pre-ordering, just the chance to collar yet another Android winner from HTC.
For those out of the loop, the HTC Wildfire rocks a slower processor and lower-res screen compared to the HTC Legend and HTC Desire, but it still comes with oodles of extras, including the social networking-friendly HTC Sense.

You can land the HTC Desire for free on a £20 contract, although that will tie you down for the next two years. And be warned that Android updates on phones rocking special skins tend to take a while to come good. Just look at how long it’s taking the HTC Hero to get its much-need boost to Android 2.1.
That said, you do get a phone with plenty of skills. We’re talking 5 megapixel camera, capacitive touchscreen and access to the latest Android apps.
