I am jut trying to play a music CD on m y computer. When I insert the CD,
Windows Media Player starts but will not play the CD. I have tried several
CDs with the same results: "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. If
you are trying to play, sync, or burn an item in your library, the item might
point to file that has been moved, removed, or renamed." I am trying to just
play the CD–I am not on a network. I have reinstalled the CD/DVD drivers
per the instructions on the Microsoft web site; no luck. My OS is Windows XP.

I can play .wmv files from the Media Guide in Windows Media Player. I can
install new software that is on a disc.
