With the epic failure that was the latest installment in the Tony Hawk series from Activision, there are a ton of skateboard gaming fans looking for a quality experience in the upcoming title from EA, Skate 3. We have already known for quite some time that we would be seeing the game sometime in May on the PS3 and Xbox 360, however EA shed a little more light on specific dates today. North American Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will be able to pick up the game May 11, while international gamers will have to wait until May 14.
The Skate franchise is developed by EA’s Black Box studio and is a game that has made its name for being a realistic skateboarding experience, something that the popular Tony Hawk franchise has never embraced, to say the least. While many of the household name, professional skaters will not appear in Skate due to contractual obligations with Tony Hawk games, there is a pretty significant list of skaters involved with the project. EA also took time to let us in on the skaters appearing in the game.
