Google Nexus One suffers dismal launch sales

Google’s Nexus One has experienced a hugely disappointing US launch, according to stats gathered by mobile analytics firm Flurry.

Meanwhile, The Nexus One’s closest Android-powered rival, Motorola’s Droid, which is sold as the Milestone in the UK, achieved 1.05 million sales in the space of 74 days.

This contrast in sales is so stark that it seems unlikely that Google’s “superphone” will be able to catch up. Though we suspect that won’t keep Google shareholders up at night.

The Nexus One will be available in the UK in mid-April.
