This will be a short post that just shares one little tip in Windows 7, which you may find helpful.
If you use Control Panel often enough, you may want to have it pinned on your taskbar so you can launch it right from there. But the problem is, you can’t just simply right-click the Control Panel and select Pin to Taskbar.
Instead,
1. You need to first open Control Panel first so its icon appears in the taskbar.
2. And then, from there, you can right-click the Control Panel icon in the taskbar and select Pin this Program to taskbar.
Now, once you close the Control Panel, you will notice that its icon stays in the taskbar, another words, being pinned.
And since it’s pinned on the taskbar, it’s also got its own jumplist too.
Note that, the same trick can be applied to other applications that normally can’t be pinned through right-click context menu, for example, Task Manager, Help and Support, and Computer Management.
That’s it, and happy pinning.
