We have a Windows 2003 SP1 server running since many years.Suddently few days back it stoppened responding.
The issue details.
1) Server stops responding after providing the correct login credentials.
(OR)
2) Server hangs at “Applying your personal Setting” and does not show the desktop.
(OR)
3) Even it login correctly, the system stops responding after few minutes. We cannot even browse through the files in windows explorer.
(OR)
4) After login when I click on any .txt file or any other file (double click) the entire system stops responding. At this point of time I can even access my task manager.
I have observed that no service/task is using full CPU or memory resource.
Then yesterday I have downloaded and installed SP2.
But still the problem is not resolved.
Could anybody help on this issue.
